If you want REAL abs results you need to do REAL work. There is no "easy way out". You can't take "magic" weight-loss pills, buy any sort of exercise equipment to work for you, and you definitely can't take six protein shakes a day! Those magic pills will kill your organs! Advanced exercise machines only provide new exercises. They may seem more practical but they wont build muscle any faster than generic weights. And what about those protein shakes? They help build muscle don't they? Wrong. All protein shakes do is supplement protein deficiency, meaning if you don't have a high enough protein intake the shake will supply what your diet does not. Your muscles can only absorb so much protein in a day; everything else you take in will literally be excreted with your body's natural bodily fluids (straight into the toilet). Don't throw your money down the drain! Learn the exercises that will give you muscle, weight loss, TIGHT lean abs. If you cut corners you will cut production.
Proper form, proper results
Proper technique promotes productive muscle development to get REAL Abs. If you're going to work your body to sweat and tears then why not get something out of it? When you work ANY muscle group no matter what the exercise is you need to remember one thing, breathe. Taking consistent full breaths will not only enable you to perform more reps but you will also increase the rate with which your body burns fat. This is because fat loss is due to your body finding other means of energy to access, oxygen being the first source. When you prolong your breathing your body will begin to lack the oxygen (or primary source of energy) so you immediately begin producing lactic acid and burning fat. It's that simple, just breathe. Breathing is important, however, remember where abs are located. If you are doing leg lifts then squeeze your abdominal muscles in and hold it. You will notice a change in the intensity. This will allow you to work your lower abs at a more intense rate. It makes sense if you think about it. When you perform bicep curls you will notice that your biceps flex as you pull the weight in. Muscles flex when you use them so why don't you MAKE your body use abs instead of lazily throwing your legs up?
Mentality
When all is said and done nothing will ever matter if you don't think it does. Once you think you don't need good form, you don't have good muscles. Once you think it isn't important to work out for a couple days is when you're muscles get weak. Physical work is as mental as it is physical. The second you tell yourself to give up on those last few reps is the second you tell yourself you DON'T want results. To be strong you have to tell yourself you are strong. Motivate yourself in the same way a trainer would. Become strong mentally and your body will follow.
