Cellulite is a term used to described the dimpled appearance of skin caused by fat deposits that are just below the surface of the skin. Although the exact cause of cellulite might not be understood,but there are several theories that includes factors such as; hormonal factors, diet, genetics, lifestyle factors and even types of clothing. When it comes to targeting specific area where cellulite is likely to build up, yoga is perhaps the best since one of the major reason reasons cellulite arises is the lack of circulation in the lower extremities.

Cellulite is a puckered appearance of the skin, usually on the thighs, buttocks or abdomen caused by concentrations of fat that bulge beneath the fibers of the connectivity issue. Lifestyle, diet and genetics are factors that lead to cellulite. Because women generally have a higher percentage of body fat than men, cellulite affects them more often and can occur in both obese and slender women. Practicing Yoga poses may help reduce the appearance of cellulite or slow its progression.

Yoga is known to encourage weight loss and boost flexibility. Also,it is great at stimulating circulation in all parts of the body. When circulation is enhanced, the breaking up of the stored fat pockets that are recognized as cellulite will be easier. There is more to Yoga than just being an instrument to get rid of cellulite, it is even beneficial for overall better bone and joint health, since it heightens flexibility, strength and support for all of the muscles and joints found in human body.

One very popular pose that helps increase circulation and reduce cellulite is the Plow pose that helps stretches the muscles of the neck, back, shoulders and hamstrings; which helps keeps the spine mobile. This pose has also demonstrated benefits including; soundness of mind, hormonal balance, thyroid, breathing, common colds, insomnia, constipation, gas, low energy, back pain, stiff shoulders. To begin, lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat on the floor, arms stretched our alongside your body, palms pressing into the floor. Start the motion by bringing your knees in toward your chest and extend your legs back over your head, reaching the back of your feet to the floor behind you. Clasp your hand together on the floor in front of your shoulders and straighten your arms out,holding this position for about 30 seconds while breathing deeply. Slowly, roll your torso back down into your starting position.

Stretching before and after any types of exercise is not only good for your entire body, but it is also one of the ways to target cellulite. Stretching will facilitate to warm up your muscles and boost circulation all over the body, making it easier to burn fat and break up the connectivity tissues that have resulted in cellulite.
